I run my own product design & engineering company Panchromos Limited which has its own company site - and I've created these personal pages for things that I'd like to share with others but that are not necessarily of interest to my prospective clients or other professional contacts.
The first area of interest that I know I share with quite a few others is that of the "home workshop" - or home business workshop in my case. For some this is geared towards their miniature railway or R/C modelling hobby, others have an interest in engineering machinery in its own right. My workshop is mainly used to make models and prototypes for the projects I undertake at Panchromos, and for that purpose I too have made and modified tools to make that job easier - or even possible in the first place.
The second area is the rather large and diverse field of "DIY" in many different guises. I guess it comes with being an engineering designer, but I frequently feel that something (anything - from cars to clothes, plumbing to PCs) isn't really good enough until I've fiddled with it. So in the DIY section you'll find material about acts of fiddling and their results.
The third area "Stuff" relates to things that I haven't properly fiddled with but are still worthwhile to mention.
Last but not least the fourth area "Activities" has got little to do with stuff, things and tangible goods - but is all about the activities I like to engage in.
