Workshop
I run my own product design & engineering company Panchromos Limited which undertakes product design and engineering projects with and for client companies. In the course of those projects I frequently build and modify prototypes, instruments and test setups - for which I have a reasonably equiped workshop. My main workshop activities are machining of metals and plastics, instrument assembly and some cosmetic finishing. I also make and assemble printed circuit boards with through-hole and SMD components, and do the occassional bit of woodworking.
Although I'm not a model engineer or toolmaker I have made a number of modifications and extensions to my machines in order to make them more accurate, more consistent and more productive. I've made good use of the information put on the web by a large number of machining enthousiasts, and with that in mind I'm happy to share my experiences with you.
